What verified means

The mark was checked
against the official document.

When a student uploads their official transcript, the engine reads every mark and compares it against what they entered in the app. Matching marks carry a verified badge. Non-matching marks don't. No human in the loop - document-backed or not, it's clearly marked either way.

How matching works

Every student scored across
three dimensions - not one.

When you post a role, the engine scores every student in the talent pool against your requirements across three dimensions at once. The result is a ranked list of students who actually qualify - with the score breakdown visible.

Their degree

Exact match +80 · Close match +45 · Wrong degree −25

BCom Accounting Science and BCom Accounting are scored differently because they are different - one is the CA(SA) track, the other is industry finance. The engine knows this from the degree itself, not from what the student wrote on a form.

Their professional track

Track match +60 · Wrong track −15

RUNG maps every SA degree to its professional body - SAICA, ECSA, HPCSA, CIMA, CFA, Law Society. A student on the ECSA engineering track appears in your ECSA-aligned role. Everyone else doesn't.

What they actually know

Strong confidence → +35 · Good → +25 · Partial → +12

The engine scores every concept from 0 to 1 based on how well the student understands it. High-confidence matches surface students who genuinely know the subject - not just students whose curriculum includes it.

What you see

Degree & year of study

Always visible

Professional track

CA(SA) / Engineering / Health / Industry Finance - from degree alone

RUNG Score

Knowledge depth + study momentum + engagement - one composite signal

Academic trajectory

Improving / stable / declining across the semester

Predicted grade range

A range with confidence, not a single number guess

Verified module scores

Cross-referenced against official transcript - clearly marked

Subject depth

How well they actually understand each subject area, not just whether they passed

Study behaviour pattern

Consistent / cramming / recovering / high achiever

Verification badge

Document-backed or self-reported - you always know which is which

What you never see

Student profiles are anonymised by default. No identifying information is shared until the student explicitly applies to your role. The talent pool is a signal layer - identity comes only with consent.

Full name

Student number

Email address

Home address

Any identifying detail - until the student applies

Who uses it

Graduate recruiter

Filter by degree, professional track, minimum verified average, and document-backed only. See 40 candidates who actually qualify - not 400 who submitted a PDF and said the right things.

Internship programme lead

Find third-year students in a specific faculty whose trajectory is improving. Post the role inside RUNG - students who match across all three dimensions see it in their feed with a clear explanation of why they qualify.

Research lab hiring

Find students with strong understanding in specific subject areas. The engine scores conceptual depth - so you're finding students who genuinely understand the material, not just students who passed the paper.

The talent pool is building.
Early access is by request.

We're onboarding a small number of company partners during early access to make sure quality holds on both sides. If you're hiring graduates or interns in SA, we want to talk.
